  • Created original syllabus for ENG 2850 Great Works of Literature II 1650-Modern Day

  • Taught an in-person class while accommodating COVID protocols and using hybrid classes to keep the class on track during a health crisis.

  • Guided non-majors through a diverse and international reading list to broaden their appreciation of literature and introduce them to a variety of artistic movements.

Stony Brook University | Stony Brook, NY | 2017-2019

  • Created syllabi for a range of classes including Intro to Composition, Intro to Contemporary Literature, Intro to Creative Writing, Forms of Interdisciplinary Arts, and Forms of Fiction.

  • Taught CWL 202 Intro to Creative Writing and CWL 305 Forms of Fiction: Mystery.

  • Developed and instituted personal pedagogy, grading rubrics, assignments, and a reading schedule for majors and non-majors to practice fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, and playwriting.

  • Enlivened the student experience by facilitating readings and taking advantage of campus life as an extension of class.

Bishop McNamara High School | Forestville, MD | 2013-2017

  • Choreographed and taught dance numbers for productions of The Pajama Game, Cinderella, In the Heights, and The Man of La Mancha.

  • Conducted rehearsals, including tech week, with groups of 40-50 high school students.

  • Met regularly with the production team to exchange notes and discuss progress.
